I have an intense passion for the outdoors and love to capture the spirit of life in my paintings.  I spent most of my creative life working with ceramic until I began exploring the two dimensional world.  Once I started drawing I was hooked!  Today I love working with pastels and oils – pastels for their subtle beauty and oils for their rich color and texture.

I am fortunate to have studied with some amazing teachers at Grand Central Academy, Cooper Union and the Art Students’ League in NYC.  Many years ago I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and before turning to painting full time I had spent 14 years developing software and 7 years teaching math.
